MBA Program Coordinator (Mat Leave Replacement, 18 Months)

Position Purpose and Summary
The MBA Program Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the MBA program. This role involves coordinating various aspects of the program, assisting faculty and students, and ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day operations. The Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining the quality of the program and enhancing the overall experience for students.
Key Areas of Accountability
Program Coordination
- Work closely with the MBA Associate Dean, Graduate Program, Associate Directors, faculty, and staff to manage course and classroom scheduling, ensuring that the key operational and logistical aspects of the program run smoothly.
- Maintain and update program databases, reports, documents, and other materials necessary to support the efficient management and decision-making of the MBA program.
- Facilitate effective communication between the MBA program and key departments including TWU GLOBAL, Student Life, Admissions, the Office of the Registrar, and the Learning Commons, the Centre for Calling & Career Development. Ensure alignment and cooperation across these departments to enhance MBA students’ experience and the program success.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the MBA Associate Dean, Graduate Program.
Student Support
- Act as a primary point of contact for Langley MBA student concerns and inquiries, providing timely and effective solutions while representing the interests of the program.
- Support the Program Manager and advise Langley MBA students with program-related issues, and connect students with other TWU resources as needed.
- Support MBA orientations.
- Build community amongst MBA students in Langley and collaborate with other TWU departments to support MBA students.
- Support and guide MBA student worker in setting up classrooms for faculty.
Student Monitoring
- Support the Program Manager for grad audit for MBA students.
Assist in the regular monitoring of the MBA student progress and provide timely updates to the Associate Director, in particular for students admitted on probation.
Event Planning and Execution:
- Assist in the planning and execution of MBA and School of Business events such as networking events and graduation ceremonies.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including booking venues, arranging catering, and managing registrations.

Education
- A Bachelor’s or Certificate degree in Business, Education, or a related field.
Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in an administrative or coordination role, preferably in higher education or a related field.
