ABOUT OUR OPERATION
The Support and Development Center provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation).
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Purchasing General Supervisor, you will be part of the Supply Chain Department. You will ensure that objectives are met while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, the health and safety code of conduct, and environmental standards.
- Complete inventory setup requests (price, quantity, delivery time, part number);
- Ensure follow-up on orders confirmation and validate key elements (price, date, quantity, part number);
- Complete the full order confirmation process from A to Z (attach order acknowledgment, update status, modify delivery date);
- Generate reports on unconfirmed order acknowledgments;
- Follow up on unreceived orders (backorder reports) and inform the buyer or resolve the issue with the supplier;
- Contact suppliers to obtain a new delivery date if the current one has expired;
- Enter data into the system according to the established process;
- Save necessary documents in the purchase order (related documents) justifying any changes: delivery date change, price change, etc.;
- Inform the buyer of any issues: extended delays, lack of response, item substitutions, etc.;
- Identify suggestions and innovative ideas to improve purchasing processes;
- Complete compliance documents related to IIBA (weekly PPBA reports);
- Perform any other related tasks assigned to the purchasing clerk.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or relevant professional experience;
- Experience in an industrial or heavy industry environment (experience in the mining sector is an asset);
- Awareness of cultural differences and understanding of working within Indigenous communities is considered an asset;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- Proficiency in the use of the English language as you will be working in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites where English is the primary language.
YOUR WORK SCHEDULE :
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, on a 5/2 – 4/3 schedule. Possibility of remote work according to the current policy;
- Work Location: Val-d'Or, QC.
