About the role
Join the Housing Policy and Programs in the Bilingual Senior Analyst, Policy position. In this role, you will provide business intelligence, research and analysis, developing options and supporting communication of policy and/or programs and process directions as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. You will contribute to the conceptualization, development and implementation of new and/or existing policies, products, services and/or systems and continually ensures that client needs are addressed throughout the process.
This is a temporary position of a duration of 13 months.
What you’ll do:
- Scan the internal and external operating environment for emerging policy and/or programs and process issues and needs on policy research, analysis and advice. Assess implications of the evolving business context on CMHC and its policies and programs and provide advice on implications.
- Represent CMHC at, and organize as required, meetings, committees, working groups and consultative bodies to communicate Corporate priorities and policy positions and to obtain input to specific CMHC policy proposals.
- Develop, and coordinate relevant research materials, summaries and policy analyses to senior management, committees and task forces / working groups.
- Develop and coordinate a variety of written documentation, presentations and briefing materials in support of internal and external communications and for various policy requests as required.
- Provide input and advice concerning Corporate strategies to ensure that activities are well-aligned with CMHC and federal government priorities and emerging opportunities.
What you should have:

An undergraduate degree from a recognized university in social sciences, political science, law, or economics.

A minimum of three years of experience in conducting policy research and analysis, including both quantitative and qualitative methods, to support the development and implementation of policies, programs, and strategic recommendations.

Strong research and analytical thinking skills.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Knowledge of housing system.

Bilingualism (English and French).
