When applying to this selection process, you will be asked to respond to five (5) screening questions.

Work environment

The ATSSC is a department with over 600 employees. Its mandate is to provide support services to twelve (12) federal administrative tribunals, covering areas such as human rights, industrial relations, social security, international trade, specific claims of First Nations, cultural properties, and many more. Established with the goal of centralizing tribunal support services, the ATSSC is also committed to continually enhancing access to justice for the Canadian population.

This position is located in Ottawa, Ontario at 333 Laurier Ave. West and requires that the successful applicant work, in-person, 3 days per week.

Intent of the process

The intent of the process is to staff one (1) or more bilingual imperative BBB/BBB position on a temporary basis.

A partially qualified pool will be created and may be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic requirements, classifications, tenures, locations, or security level. The pool will be primarily used to staff positions within the ATSSC but could be used by all federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA). EDUCATION

EDU: Graduation with a bachelor’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in commerce, business administration, economics, international trade, statistics, accounting, or any other field relevant to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

EXP1: Experience providing advice and recommendations to senior management or adjudicators.

EXP2: Experience in conducting searches and/or investigations.

EXP3: Experience in analyzing statistical or financial data to produce analytical reports.

EXP4: Experience in using Microsoft Excel tools (data manipulation, combination charts, pivot tables, formulas, and/or other analytical tools in Excel).

EDUCATION

AEXP1: Experience in designing surveys or questionnaires.

AEXP2: Experience working as an advisor or researcher in a quasi-judicial or legal environment (e.g.: tribunal, court, commission, board, law or notaries firm).

AEXP3: Experience advising on anti-dumping / countervailing matters.

Degree equivalency
