P&H Grain
The P&H Grain Division is a comprehensive grain and crop input network, operating across approximately 45 locations in the prairie provinces, Ontario and Quebec. Our strategically positioned facilities, including grain elevators, rail sidings, inland terminals, and specialized export terminals, ensure that we effectively match producer grain with the needs of both domestic and export end users. As a full-service agri-retailer, we provide farming communities with a full range of quality crop input products and agronomic solutions, encompassing crop protection products, certified seeds, nutrients, and custom applications.
Your Role
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate payment of business transactions while providing customer service to vendors, suppliers, and employees.
Day to Day
- Process settlement of supplier invoicing to purchase orders.
- Handle various recurring payables and journal entries.
- Schedule and prepare supplier payment requests in line with company policy.
- Monitor and process vendor invoices and follow up with vendors on account inquiries.
- Reconcile accounts by verifying monthly statements and reviewing transactions related to vendor accounts.
- Submit Jira Tickets for new vendor setups and maintain accurate vendor and customer files according to policy
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience in clerical, administrative, or accounting roles, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment while meeting deadlines.
- Strong technical aptitude, with proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, and the ability to quickly adapt to new software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Must be available to work on-site.
