Richardson operates port terminals from coast to coast across Canada and exports Canadian-grown grains and oilseeds to end-use markets in over 50 countries around the globe.
We currently have an opportunity for an Industrial Electrician at our Richardson Port Terminal located in Thunder Bay . Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position will provide support for electrical repair and maintenance of plant equipment in a heavy industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Installs, modifies, repairs and maintains electrical circuits, devices and equipment
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses electrical and control equipment
- Participates in training related to this position
- Operates in accordance with health, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices
- Provides assistance to other Maintenance team members
- Responds to after-hours emergency calls on a rotational basis
Qualifications: Requirements
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician with 2+ years of heavy industrial experience.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical schematics, automation, and plant equipment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in confined spaces, heights, and extreme conditions.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other computer applications.
- Safety-focused, with a strong work ethic and availability for shifts, shutdowns, and emergency call-ins.
Asset
- Diploma of Technology
- Strong IT background
- Networking experience (Ethernet, Profibus and Modbus)
- Programming experience
- Any other mechanical trades, fabricator would be considered an asset
