Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts and Service Advisor to join our dynamic team in the heavy equipment industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of heavy equipment parts and repair processes, ensuring that our customers receive the best service possible. As a Parts and Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their parts and service needs, providing exceptional service, and contributing to the overall success of our dealership.
What you will do
- Facilitate a positive customer experience by handling all part inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring they are maintained in accordance with Company guidelines.
- Ensure parts facilities and displays are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Manage the parts purchase order process, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up on promised delivery dates.
- Utilize sales techniques to upsell additional products or services that may benefit the customer.
- Ensure all manuals and parts guides are up to date, acting as a liaison with the factory.
- Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure timely availability of necessary parts for repairs.
- Manage the service process, including work orders, scheduling technicians and communicating with customers
- Obtain required parts from inventory and/or raise purchase requisition
- Assigns technician to perform diagnostic; advises customer as to issue, costs and expected completion
- Prepare estimates of recommended service repairs and present to the customer
- Stay updated on new products, promotions, and industry trends to better serve customers.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, and conveys a professional presence at all times
- Operate a forklift or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods as necessary.
What we are looking for
- Ambitious and goal-oriented, with interpersonal skills needed to meet sales objectives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of repair processes.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Prior general sales experience, preferably in parts distribution.
- A background as a mechanic or in heavy equipment repair is beneficial
- Journeyman or apprentice parts technician is preferred.
Travel
Minimal travel is expected of this position.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
