Summary
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team at Northern Dock Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client accounts and driving business development efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining our reputation as a trusted partner in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow key customer accounts, acting as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams (Sales, Service, Operations, Marketing)
- Identify and pursue opportunities for equipment sales, service agreements, and preventative maintenance contracts
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and annual budgets; negotiate contract terms aligned with company goals
- Coordinate full project lifecycle including quoting, scheduling, logistics, installations, and post-service reviews
- Manage all customer communications, handle escalations, and provide virtual support using internal tools
- Support customers with platform navigation, documentation, invoice issues, and follow-ups
- Monitor account performance, KPIs, and sales trends to drive continuous improvement
- Visit customer sites as needed for project check-ins and relationship management
- Maintain accurate CRM records and conduct research to identify growth and expansion opportunities
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and product knowledge to support strategic decision-making
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in account management, customer support, or a related field
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or Supply Chain preferred
- PMP Certification is an asset
- Experience with CRM and quoting systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of commercial construction, facility maintenance, or service-based environments is an asset
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer-first mindset
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally across departments
