The incumbent will be a key contributor to our IT security. This is an opportunity to join a great team of professionals with exciting challenges and responsibilities.

In addition, the incumbent will be mainly responsible for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Malware protection.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate conceptual understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and the ability to work in a team environment. S/he should have a deep knowledge of various DLP technologies used to scrutinize and avert data leakage. As well, S/he have experience in endpoint malware experience on desktops and mobiles.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-wide security architecture and engineering solutions across hybrid environments (on-premises, cloud, SaaS).
  • Collaborate with IT Infra, DevOps, and business teams to embed security into systems, networks, applications, and infrastructure lifecycle.
  • Lead initiatives related to network segmentation, firewall rule management, identity and access management, and endpoint protection.
  • Engineer and automate integrations between Firewalls, WAF, Email security Appliance, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, CASB, DLP, IAM and vulnerability management tools.
  • Support secure configuration management, patching strategies, and hardening of assets across Windows, Linux, and Mac environments.
  • Drive secure cloud adoption in Azure, AWS, and M365 by implementing guardrails, policies, and security baselines etc.
  • Review, test, and implement security tool deployments, upgrades, and tuning.
  • Act as a SME during architecture design reviews, technical assessments, and cloud/on-premises integrations.
  • Perform security infrastructure assessments and contribute to the development of security roadmaps and control improvements.
  • Assist in the response and remediation of incidents, contributing engineering expertise for containment and forensic analysis.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends; evaluate new technologies and recommend appropriate adoption.
  • Document engineering standards, configurations, and support procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, MSSP, and external vendors to improve security resilience and incident readiness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in security engineering, architecture, or related roles.
  • Proven experience with implementing and managing:
    • WAF and Firewalls (F5, Palo Alto, Azure WAF, Fortinet, Cisco ASA and Meraki, etc.)
    • DLP and CASB (Microsoft MCAS, Microsoft Purview, Forcepoint, Netskope, etc.)
    • SIEM/SOAR platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel)
    • EDR/XDR/NDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for cloud, Extra hop)
    • Vulnerability Scanners (Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7)
    • Cloud security tools (Azure Security Center, AWS Guard Duty, Orca, Wiz etc.)
    • IAM solutions (Azure AD, CyberArk, Okta, MFA, Conditional Access) is asset.
  • Deep understanding of network security, endpoint protection, encryption, and data loss prevention.
  • Hands-on experience scripting and automating tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Solid grasp of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Familiarity with container and microservices security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Istio) is an asset.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible is an asset.

Desirable Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (Preferred), Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • AWS Certified Security – Specialty Preferred
  • Fortinet NSE4+, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE
  • CISSP, CISM, or CCSP
  • SANS Certifications: GDSA, GCSA, GCIA, GCED
