Role What You’ll Do We are seeking an experienced QA and Calibration Lead to join our Quality team. We are looking for someone with a solid Quality background and a quality-first mindset. This role will report to the Manager of Quality Assurance and will be integral to our ‘Nothing Comes Back’ goal.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all calibration responsibilities within the organization including:
- Collaborate with lab manager to complete activities to comply with ISO 17025.
- Standardized calibration process thru the organization.
- Responsible for calibration software and updates to new instruments and equipment.
- Schedule and coordinate external calibrations.
- Performs calibration and testing service work according to approved standards and procedures.
- Ensures all jobs are completed to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
- Maintain testing equipment in good condition and calibration of test equipment.
- Report any non-conformance concerns to the management.
- Must possess good knowledge of quality standards and working knowledge of ISO certification requirements.
- Perform internal ISO audits as per schedule, and complete related functions including internal audit reporting and corrective action follow up as required.
- Complete any other auditing related duties as assigned.
- Support for manufacturing process audits.
- Experience working effectively within cross-functional teams.
Who You Are Basic Qualifications
- Graduate of a Mechanical Technician/Technologist Program or an Electronic Technician/Technologist Program.
- 5+ years of experience required.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Metrology and calibration training
- Experience industry/role coordinator, supervisor, specialist
- ISO 9001-14000 Internal Auditor-Certificate would be an asset.
Skills
- Ability to manage multiple training programs efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
- Flexibility to adjust training methods based on audience needs.
- Team-oriented approach to working with SMEs and stakeholders.
- Capacity to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
