Pick-and-Place Technician
Department: Filter Processing – Pick-and-Place cleanroom
Shift: Possibility of Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekends
Location: Swansea
Reporting: Pick-and-Place Supervisor

Summary statement
The incumbent performs tasks related to pick-and-place operations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Operation of automated pick-and-place equipment.
- Visual inspection using a microscope.
- Cleaning of the cleanroom and equipment.
- Data entry into Iridian's internal Manufacturing Execution System (IMEX).
- Following safety procedures as per the Health & Safety policy and internal trainings.
- Any other assigned duties.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills

Graduation from high school or the equivalent.

Reliable performance and quality work with minimum supervision.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
-
Manual dexterity and ability to handle small precision parts.

Strong attention to detail.
-
Basic computer skills.
-
Ability to perform under time pressures.
Working Conditions
- Alternating between sitting and standing.
- Working with machines and computers.
- Working in a cleanroom following gowning protocols.
- Frequent use of a microscope.
- Frequent exposure to methanol, lens cleaner, isopropyl alcohol.
- Working in a noisy environment.
Type of Supervision Received
Task assignment is through the Pick-and-Place Supervisor or shift lead. Yearly performance reviews and setting of annual performance goals are together with the Pick-and-Place Supervisor.
