Principal: Peggy Grant

Qualifications:

Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies in Secretarial Studies, a Secondary School Diploma or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority and have four (4) years of pertinent experience.

AND

Have a basic knowledge of office automation.

Other Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and French

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint

    • Testing required
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Able to multi-task and able to work with tight deadlines

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • High school experience would be an asset

  • Strong communication skills

  • Knowledge of GPI would you be an asset

  • Must be willing to work additional hours during busy periods including some evenings

  • Able to act as a liaison between various school partners

  • Knowledge of Mozaik would be an asset

  • Knowledge of Scolago system would be an asset

  • Knowledge of student registration process would be an asset

  • Familiar with Google drive and other Google applications

Nature of the work:

In addition to the duties defined in the class of employment of secretary, the principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in ensuring, as instructed or in conjunction with others, the smooth operation of the school or center by assuming the responsibility and coordination of the administrative tasks of school or adult education or vocational training center secretaries.

Daily Tasks/Dossiers:

  • Transfers and registration process
  • Accident reports for students and staff members (CNESST)
  • Notes/Record keeping
  • Assisting with Secondary V needs
  • Write cheques
  • Handles school accounting
  • Other duties as requested by administration
