About the role

Position Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible volunteers (ages 14+) to assist with our children's acting summer camps. Volunteers will support instructors, help create a fun and inclusive environment, and gain valuable leadership and theatre experience.

Hours:

Flexible! You tell us when you are available! Available hours are Monday-Friday in July & August from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

However, we are hoping to find a volunteer that can come on the following dates:

-Tuesday, July 15th-12-4pm

-Wednesday, July 23rd (any hours)

-Thursday, July 31st-12-4pm

-Tuesday, August 12th-12-4pm

-Week of Aug 12th-15th: Any hours would help

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist instructors with daily activities and games
  • Help set up and clean up materials and spaces
  • Supervise children during breaks and transitions (alongside staff)
  • Model respectful and inclusive behavior
  • Encourage participation and cheer on young performers
  • Help with costume and prop distribution
  • Be a positive role model and team player

Qualifications:

  • Enjoy working with children
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Willing to follow direction and take initiative
  • Interest in theatre or performing arts a plus
  • Friendly, playful, and respectful attitude

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $1.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 35 per week
