Work schedule : 8 am to 4 pm or 9am - 5 pm (must be prepared to work night shifts when required to cover holidays) Work location : 627 Plinguet Street, Winnipeg, MB, R2J 2W9 Status: Permanent, Full-Time WHY SOLLIO AGRICULTURE? YOUR ROLE

The Shortmix Operator Is Responsible For

  • Preparing the preweigh, ensuring the quality and quantity of all handadds;
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks, bagging, and inventory management;
  • Covering the bagging duties during holidays or absences of other staff members (may be required);
  • Operating DSL Preweigh to prepare each shortmix according to the standard operating procedures and safety guidelines;
  • Ensuring proper shortmix containers and medications scoops are used according to our medication sequencing guidelines;
  • Labelling and storing medications and vitamins;
  • Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of shortmix containers, scoops, and scales and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor;
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of bulk trucks;
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of shortmix area;
  • Managing the inventory of shortmix materials in their area and report and discrepancies;
  • Covering the Bagging duties during holidays or absences of other staff members.

YOUR ASSETS

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Ability to drive a forklift with a valid certification preferred, but not mandatory;
  • Previous experience in feed mill operations such as bagging, packaging, or warehouse operations preferred, but not mandatory;
  • Need to have basic computer knowledge;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in measuring, weighing, and labeling the bags;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and climbing;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet the production deadlines;
  • Ability to work flexible hours, shift work, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
