Provide the guidance and leadership for our sales team within an inspiring furniture and home décor store. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for creating an excellent customer and employee experience while achieving sales targets and promotional results for your store. Considered the leaders of our organization, Store Managers champion Urban Barn values through promoting respect, honesty, and fairness among our store teams. This is achieved by inspiring, encouraging, and coaching our people to be their best. You work with the Regional Manager to ensure continued improvement of overall store performance in sales and culture.

Our stores are open daily and on weekends, so we are looking for candidates who can work a variety of shifts and be present in our locations during peak customer times (i.e. weekdays, weeknights, and weekends).

What You Will Do:

  • Motivate your team to deliver the best customer experience
  • Recruit and retain the best talent for your store location
  • Communicate your expectations to the team and provide training, coaching, and feedback
  • Manage store merchandising, inventory, and shrink
  • Lead and maintain the visual standards and cleanliness of the store
  • Grow and manage the business within your community, representing the brand in a professional manner

Who You Are:

  • Driven to achieve and exceed sales goals
  • An experienced people leader with a passion for building relationships
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit to drive business beyond your 4 walls
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently under pressure
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Passionate about interior décor and home furnishings

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Retail Sales Management
  • Experience developing top sales teams and stretching individuals to their full potential
  • Ability to multi-task and collaborate
  • Ability to effectively communicate – provide and receive feedback in the moment
  • Commitment to a flexible schedule (Open to daytime, evening, and weekend shifts)
  • The ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg
