Do you have excellent business acumen and strong non-authoritative leadership skills? We are hiring a development lead for our In Situ well pad program. If you have a good understanding of subsurface resources and / or surface operations and are comfortable working with ambiguity, we want to hear from you!
You will lead and develop well pad and brownfield projects within our In Situ sustaining and bitumen supply portfolios, from conception to operation. You will use your stakeholder management and collaboration skills to motivate a multidisciplinary team to achieve quality and timely results.
Minimum Requirements:
- 10+ years of oil and gas development, execution or operations experience, preferably in In Situ
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Registered as a professional engineer through APEGA
- Demonstrated passion for taking ownership of a project and driving the integrated team through ambitious timelines
- Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support integrated teams for Insitu well pad projects through D&MP (Develop and Manage Projects) gated approval process
- Lead and develop winter programs, with exposure to complex subsurface technical scope, economics and risk-based decision making
- Support Firebag, MacKay River and/or Lewis asset and business planning, including scenario evaluations
- Present project business case and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support project stewardship, funding, forecasting, budgeting
- Support standard template pad design and new technology implementation into the pad program
- Lead the identification and selection of project options, and work with EPCs to define and execute a specific scope of work
Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
- This is an office based role, hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
