Analyst, Workplace Network (Infrastructure & Security)
About the role
Accountabilities JOB DESCRIPTION
- Deliver solutions quickly and effectively.
- Document the company’s existing systems design and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.
- Confer with end-users, clients, or senior management to define business requirements for complex systems and infrastructure development.
- Integrate networks, including WAN, LAN & Security technologies and their associated software into enterprise systems.
- Ensure system connectivity and availability of all network components.
- Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
- Provide technical assistance with projects during all project phases of the standard Project Management methodology
Formal Education & Certification
- College diploma or university degree in the field of IT or equivalent work experience
- Certifications in Cisco, Fortinet or similar technologies an asset
Knowledge & Experience
- 5+ years' work experience, manufacturing industry an asset.
- Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
- Solid grounding in core enterprise network technologies, including Cisco, Fortinet, SD-Wan.
- Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including Routing/switching, security, packet captures, firewalls, and more
- Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent technical support documentation skills.
