We are currently searching for a Structural Technologist in our Calgary office.
The successful candidate will work with engineers and other technologists to provide design, and drafting services for a variety of public and private sector clients with a focus on bridges, municipal structures, and other transportation-related infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

Utilizing CAD software to create and prepare technical drawings for our bridge, roadway and aviation projects that best represent project requirements from concept to detailed design to record.

Modifying and revising existing drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers or other team members.

Working closely with colleagues to understand and ensure compliance of drafting standards.

Preparing and exporting drawings and models in various formats for project submissions.

Organizing and managing a variety of CAD files, ensuring that drawings and models are accessible to other team members.
Job Requirements:
What you will bring:
- A diploma in civil engineering, or engineering design and drafting, from an accredited technical institution.
- 8+ years of experience in bridge design and drafting (steel, concrete, timber structures).
- Experience with Alberta Transportation Engineering drafting guidelines for highway and bridge projects is an asset
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with Revit, Sketchup or other 3D modelling software is an asset.
- Consulting experience is an asset.
- Registered, or eligible or registration with ASET.
