What is the compensation for this role? The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $180,000 CAD (plus eligible for incentive program)
What will you do in this job? Operational Strategy & Execution
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve standardized operating procedures (SOPs), daily checklists, and management tools across all attractions.
- Create and refine tools for labour management, staffing models, and forecasting to ensure operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Establish and communicate clear operational management expectations for on-site leadership teams.
- Build scalable systems and tools to support consistency in guest experience, cleanliness, team engagement, and brand execution.
- Drive operational readiness for new initiatives, including systems rollouts and program launches.
Financial & Business Performance
- Maintain full P&L ownership and accountability for attractions.
- Analyze business performance and operational metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency, revenue growth, and margin enhancement.
- Collaborate with finance and revenue teams to align strategies and track against KPIs and annual goals.
Leadership & Culture
- Lead, coach, and develop attraction General Managers and their teams to achieve consistent high performance.
- Champion a high-accountability culture that prioritizes teamwork, guest experience, and operational excellence.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador by modeling Flyover values, maintaining high standards, and setting the tone for team behavior and expectations.
- Establish clear performance management routines including feedback, coaching, and recognition frameworks.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all attractions meet or exceed company, regulatory, and industry safety standards.
- Develop and enforce consistent safety and emergency protocols, including regular training and audit processes.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong, cross-functional relationships with the broader Flyover leadership team to drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Actively contribute to company-wide strategy, innovation, and planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal support teams (People, Revenue, Finance, and Technology) to ensure aligned and effective operations support.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, preferably in attractions, entertainment, hospitality, or multi-unit consumer-facing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other industry-related field preferred.
- Proven success in leading teams, managing P&Ls, and scaling operational systems across multiple sites.
- Demonstrated experience building and standardizing SOPs, labor models, and safety systems.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive performance and decisions.
- A team-first mindset with a strong bias toward collaboration, coaching, and accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
What will your work environment be like? Travel Requirements This position requires approximately 40% travel to locations in Las Vegas, Chicago, and Reykjavik from the home base in Vancouver. The Vice President of Operations is expected to maintain a strong and impactful presence in the field, providing direct support to General Managers and their teams, driving operational consistency, and ensuring alignment with company standards and culture.
Physical Demands This position requires a combination of on-site operational presence and traditional office-based work. While visiting attraction locations, the Vice President of Operations will be required to walk for extended periods, navigate guest and staff areas, and be physically present throughout the attractions to assess operations and support teams. The role also includes standard office requirements such as prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and participating in virtual meetings. Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 25+ pounds may be necessary. The ability to move between different environments and maintain a high level of engagement and visibility across the attractions is essential.
