Here’s the job opportunity…

As the IT Manager, Data Analytics & Integration at ivari, you will lead the  Business Intelligence  team to support the continual development of an enterprise-wide BI function and data integration with internal and external system sources. You will be accountable for overall production system support & stability of the supported applications and the delivery of effective system solutions to meet business needs. You will lead our data strategy, enable analytics across the organization, and champion data-driven culture. In this role you will:

  • Manage resources and staff development including coaching, mentoring and performance assessment
  • Lead the design, development and implementation of scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric data platform
  • Promote and implement data science and AI-driven solutions to enhance decision-making and business performance
  • Establish and oversee data governance framework implementation to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Participate in the business requirement analysis, architectural design and development of the solutions, tools, and processes for BI reports and data integration
  • Guide the team to utilize relevant tools and techniques to design and develop effective and efficient data solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data analytics with business strategy and provide data solutions tied to business requirements
  • Effectively manage relationships with business partners, other IT teams and vendors
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise of current industry trends, standards, and best practices in the areas of modern data platforms, AI and data governance

What we are looking for…

  • 5 – 10 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Manager, Team Leader or Senior Analyst.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Engineering related disciplines. University degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric with a solid background in data architecture and analytics, with additional knowledge in data science, AI and data governance practices considered valuable assets.
  • Experience in data warehouse, data mart, BI technology including solid knowledge of SQL Server 2019 or later, SQL, ETL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and MDX.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and translate complex technical topics to various audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Hands-on technical expertise, consulting, and people management skills to drive innovation and the team’s professional development.
  • Strong experience in modern data architecture, data modeling, and BI/reporting tools
  • Sound knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (Agile and Waterfall).
  • Experience working in a medium to large organization, dealing with large sets of data from disparate source systems.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group within a team environment.

 

The following while not a requirement would be considered an asset: 

 

  • Insurance or financial services industry experience
  • Experience with Data Science, AI and Analytics
  • Experience with Python or R to develop models for predictive analytics.
  • Experience with Metadata management, Master Data Management, Data quality management.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools, frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, DAMA DMBOK).
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure or data governance frameworks.
