About the role

Job Description Contract Role up to 10 months Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Our Marketing Division is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Analyst upto 10 months contract role to join the UP Express Brand Marketing team. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing an annual content plan for UP Express, in collaboration with our Social & Digital team. In addition, you will have an opportunity to contribute to strategic thinking and ideation with teams who bring diverse perspectives in developing and implementing our annual brand strategies.

What will I be doing?

  • Collaborate with Social and Branded Content team to execute annual UP Express digital plans; lead updates to content calendar; upload content on web.
  • Participate in team meetings related to brand strategy development by providing findings and information that will be useful to senior staff in their decision-making process.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and execute customer activations, as required.
  • Contribute to brand executional plans and tactics including trafficking ads and development of work back schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, ensuring diversity and inclusion is central in the development of marketing materials.
  • Create PowerPoint decks and presentations for internal teams and external stakeholders.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?

  • Experience with developing and uploading content using digital tools
  • Completion of a diploma or a related discipline in advertising, marketing, media studies, business – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
  • Demonstrated marketing coordinator experience, internship or co-op through school
  • MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and oral/written/presentation communications skills to prepare proposals, reports, briefing notes, presentations, and/or other supporting documents (e.g. spreadsheets and charts/graphics/maps); Content management tools (e.g. Contentstack, Canva
