Outside Sales Representative - Supply and Install

Job Purpose: The primary role is to drive and support growth of the company, while supporting our clients journey, primarily focusing on the New Home Construction and Contractor industry in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To have a clear knowledge and understanding of all products offered by Lux Windows.
  • Research existing and prospective markets, clients, and competitors.
  • Strive to find new customers and areas to help with company’s growth.
  • Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow customer loyalty.
  • Work with customers to better understand their business needs and goals.
  • Respond quickly, professionally, and effectively to customer inquiries, and/or concerns.
  • Systematically develop business relationships and professional network to gather market intelligence.
  • Help identify opportunities to introduce innovative new products/services.
  • Follow up on leads and pursue new sales opportunities.
  • Quote small and large-scale projects from blueprints, window schedules and/or material lists.
  • Prepare presentations on Lux products through showroom and site visits.
  • Handle customer/client concerns effectively.
  • Review all orders for accuracy before submitting.
  • Strive to consistently meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Entertain clients, etc. sporting events, activities, social events, dinner, lunch and/or coffee dates.
  • Travel to meet with existing or potential new clients.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, training opportunities, sales meetings, and client meetings.
  • Complete sales transactions and all necessary paperwork including payments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field experience a strong asset.
  • A minimum of 3+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
  • In-depth knowledge of technical sales skills and best practices.
  • Proven experience in customer relationship management.
  • Formal presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build healthy relationships with clients and employees.
  • Attention to details.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • A customer-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
