This role is based in our Oakville office and reports to the Innovation Manager.

Job Summary Our Innovation team is looking for a Project Leader to join their growing department. Developing and launching new products for our customers is at the heart of what we do, and you will be part of the team making it happen.
The successful individual will be responsible for managing activities related to new product development projects and supporting Innovation Managers with longer-term initiatives to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. This involves using IPEX’s Stage-Gate (AIM) process to develop executable business plans and presenting them to Senior Leaders and Executives.
Principal Responsibilities
- Leading new product development projects by managing a cross-functional team comprised of staff from Product Design, Marketing, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Product Management, Finance and Customer Insight & Ideation teams
- Develop and manage project scope and design execution plans, ensuring critical path tasks are resourced appropriately and progress is being made
- Create business cases, deliverable packages, and project status updates with input and recommendations from the cross-functional team
- Continuously look for creative efficiencies and solutions to overcome project roadblocks, whether they be technical, resource or people related to positively impact project turnaround
- Prepare for and lead project team meetings, making the best use of your cross-functional team members time by focusing on items that need to be addressed
- Be a leader within your teams. Build strong working relationships and reinforce how each team member has a unique role to play for projects to be successful and promote the innovation agenda
Qualifications & Experience
- A University or College diploma in Engineering or Business-related disciplines is preferred; or relevant experience managing projects
- Completion of, or working towards PMP certification is an asset
- 2-5 years of experience in a Project Management capacity leading cross functional teams within manufacturing, construction or related industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word and Microsoft Teams
- Strong critical thinking skills displayed by ability to find creative solution to problems
- Proven business acumen and ability to successfully navigate through uncertainty and make sound decisions when all facts may not be present
- Excellent time management skills; organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven ability to build trust and relationships and learn new systems & concepts quickly
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent command of the English language – Bilingual in French & English is an asset
TRAVEL: Up to 10%. Employee will need to visit other IPEX locations, customer sites, and third-party suppliers, and travel outside of Canada as their projects require.
