Scheduler
Lethbridge Family Services (LFS) is seeking a Scheduler to support to our Home Services department! A scheduler is accountable for the day-to-day administration/operation of staff scheduling processes, including data for payroll for staff within one or more areas. The position ensures that LFS Health Care Aides (HCA’s) are scheduled appropriately, and supports HCA’s by providing scheduling reports, records and statistical information as needed.

Schedulers:
-
establish and maintain effective communication between client, clinical care coordinators, supervisors and field area staff,
-
respond to all written and verbal short and advanced call requests from assigned areas,
-
identifies and assesses other options to complete scheduling needs for the unit/department if required relief is not available,
-
process managers approved schedule changes in scheduling systems,
-
assign relief staff to fill vacant shifts,
-
maintain and adjust master rotations in the scheduling system as required,
-
maintain accurate files, records, and file paperwork,
-
problem solve with managers, payroll, and other schedulers regarding HCA inquiries, and
-
assist in training and orientation of new personnel as requested.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
-
post-secondary education required (e.g. Scheduling Clerk Certification or Health Care diploma/certificate),
-
3-5 years of experience in a customer service environment,
-
strong communications in both verbal and written English, and
-
competent computer skills.
All new employees of LFS must provide a police information check and vulnerable sector check dated not less than 90 days prior to the date of hire.
Hours: Monday – Friday 35 hours/week – Temporary (6 Months)
