Reporting to the Director of Collaborative Practice, the Coordinator - Learner Success coordinates the student placement program, acting as the liaison matching students, instructors, and agencies to provide students with appropriate learning experiences. Key responsibilities include coordinating student placements, maintaining positive working relationships with a variety of contacts inside and outside St. Joseph's Care Group (SJCG), reviewing agency-specific academic and non-academic requirements, and advising students on practice requirements and placement opportunities. The Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining the professional registration database; tracking annual registration for all regulated health professionals; processing and documenting academic funded requests, and; providing confidential administrative support to the Director of Collaborative Practice.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in human resources, business administration, education or related field

  • Experience in coordination of projects

Skills/Abilities:

  • Superior ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • Superior ability to deliver presentations to a variety of audiences

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with agencies, academic institution officials, students, and co-workers

  • Strong project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with office computer equipment and various forms of software

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.

Will be required to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation
