About the role
Fowler is currently seeking a Licensed Tire Installer to fit and balance tires on heavy trucks and related construction equipment, and to perform preventative maintenance, ensuring all mounted tires are roadworthy and comply with industry standards. The licensed tire installer may also be required to respond to emergency road calls to repair and replace tires on location during emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect tires for obvious signs of wear and/or damage.
- Mount/demount tires on various heavy trucks and equipment.
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances.
- Communicate any unsafe conditions in a timely manner to the supervisor to facilitate prompt correction.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
- Perform repairs on tires both in the shop and at road call locations when required.
- Ensure all tires in use conform to industry standards and government regulations.
- Accurately complete work orders, maintenance reports, and all required documents.
- Complete work with attention to detail to produce a quality product.
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques.
- Other mechanical repair work as required.
- Conduct yourself in a professional and mature manner.
Position Requirements
- Proven mechanical abilities with heavy trucks and equipment.
- Capable of completing electronic work orders.
- Experience with routine maintenance operations with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with clear communication abilities.
- Must wear all required PPE for a shop environment.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed.
- Must be able to stand, lift 50 lbs., carry, bend, reach.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
