Job description: Bio-Medical Technician - Bi-Lingual (English/French)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Purpose:
This position requires the individual to service and/or estimate OEM medical equipment. Factory training will be provided when required. This position requires frequent travel to different hospitals and medical clinics within Canada, French speaking areas in particular. All work-related travel expenses will be paid.
Duties and Responsibilities
To estimate, service and/or repair, to replace parts and clean medical units, as well field service in hospital settings to manufacturer specifications and MTC's standards.
Responsible for completing all related work order information with accuracy.
Mandatory to follow all OEM training and work instructions, at all times. Failure to comply will lead to discipline
High degree of precision required
Must be comfortable learning new software programs
Follows safe work practices
Other duties as assigned
Competencies
Applicants must be fluent in French and English
High degree of integrity is a must
Excellent written and oral communication
Detail oriented
High degree of eye hand coordination and finger dexterity
Ability to perform complex repairs and follow instructions
Ability to work unsupervised at times
Ability to problem solve and deal with issues in a timely manner
Ability to research electronic literature to keep electronic knowledge up to date
Ability to troubleshoot electronic device or devices for which documentation is incomplete or not available
Ability to work in a deadline driven atmosphere and handle multiple projects / tasks with attention to detail
Requirements
Applicants must be fluent in French and English
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Able to stand or sit for 8-hour shifts
OEM provided training
Criminal background check
Qualifications
Biomedical Engineering diploma or Engineering degree preferred
Proof of proficiency in French (eg, DELF certificate, etc.)
3-year + experience testing and troubleshooting medical equipment

DCS / DEC (preferred)
Experience:
Electronic Repair: 1 year (preferred)
Medical Repair: 3 years (preferred)

Our core business segments were initially established around the repair and refurbishment of consumer retailer returns and consumer based product. Increased product brands and required channel support has resulted in us establishing the MTC Factory Outlet store in Bowmanville as well as an online retail presence and dedicated wholesale channel to meet increasing demand for our product.

Our Canadian campus is located in Bowmanville, Ontario and boasts warehouse and technical/production space of 140,000 SQ FT. Our US based campus is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana and supports warehouse and technical space of 42,000 SQ FT.
