About the role
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Manager to oversee sales and business development within Ontario for our industrial tubular steel manufacturing business. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in B2B sales and account management. The individual should have experience in working with and selling into steel service centers (distributors) and direct to OEM accounts.
Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the assigned territory

Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including contractors, engineers, architects, and procurement managers

Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, understand customer needs, and monitor competitor activities.

Product Knowledge and Presentation: Provide expert advice on product specifications, applications, and benefits. Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.

Project Specification and Support: Collaborate with clients to specify tubular steel products for projects, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and industry standards.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and provide regular reports on sales performance and forecasts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including production, planning, logistics, and customer service, to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote products and stay informed on market trends.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in sales or business development within the manufacturing sector, preferably in steel, construction materials, or industrial products.

Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of tubular steel products, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.

Sales Skills: Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies, negotiate contracts, and close deals.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM software to manage customer relationships and sales pipelines.

Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
