The Opportunity
This position is responsible for a variety of critical Bookstore accounting functions using the College Bookstore’s computerized inventory control system (ICS). Provides general accounting support to the Bookstore, including analysis of revenue and expenditures. Maintains a standard of excellence in customer service in the College Bookstore. Liaises with Finance, suppliers and customers ensure all Bookstore Accounting issues are dealt with in a timely, efficient and constructive manner. Provides exceptional client-centered service on a consistent basis to all stakeholder groups.

WHAT IT TAKES
- Completion of the second level of CGA/CMA program at a recognized institution supplemented by at least two years of relevant work experience;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of computerized inventory management systems, ERP, accounting, or related software. Knowledge of retail operations including Point of Sale systems and cash handling methods.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to produce statistics and reports. Proven ability to develop and implement procedures and documentation.
- Demonstrated proficiency of Data Entry at an intermediate Level. Proficiency on Customer Service Testing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Word; demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel.

Hours of work will typically be scheduled Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.

This position is required to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs

Shift days and times may change depending on operational needs

Evening and occasional weekend work may be required.

The position is located at the Coquitlam campus; and will be required to work at all Douglas College campuses and offsite locations
