STATUS: Permanent

SCHEDULE: 33.75 hours per week, DAY; MONDAY to FRIDAY - 09:00 to 17:00

The challenges that await you

Under the responsibility of your main supervisor for community engagement and neighborhood libraries, you will manage one or more neighborhood libraries. More specifically:

  • You will plan, organize, lead, and control the resources allocated to library activities;
  • You will be responsible for service priorities for the public, human resource management, accessibility to equipment, and their maintenance;
  • You will establish, maintain, and enhance partnerships to increase the library's community engagement in neighborhood life, by developing meaningful and lasting connections;
  • You will actively participate in the strategic planning of libraries and the development of an expanding network;
  • You will be responsible for corporate mandates and participate as needed in certain committees and working groups.

The ideal profile for us

  • Hold a master's degree in library science or information science;
  • Have four (4) years of closely related work experience in customer service and library management;
  • Possess skills to work in a team and mobilize work teams;
  • Be able to promote the integration of the library into neighborhood life;
  • Possess skills to communicate in French verbally and in writing.
