About the Role : The role involves managing inventory, reporting on key performance indicators, and supporting the quoting process to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities :
- Inventory Management : Implement and maintain accurate tracking of raw material and work-in-progress inventory to ensure our monthly financials reflect actual inventory levels.
- KPI Reporting : Build and maintain reporting dashboards for key operational metrics such as backlog, capacity, job status, and throughput.
- Job Profitability Tracking : Develop systems (ideally barcode-enabled) to track costs and profitability by individual project or tank, including material, labor, and overhead allocation.
- Support Quoting Process : Analyze historical cost and performance data to support quoting accuracy and identify opportunities to streamline and standardize our quoting process.
- ERP & System Improvement : Support the upgrade of our ERP system by helping define operational requirements.
- ISO Management: Implement and execute policies and procedures
Qualifications :
- Experience in a manufacturing or job-shop environment, ideally with exposure to inventory, ERP systems, and cost tracking.
Required Skills :
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable with Excel, databases, or BI tools.
- Hands-on mindset and willingness to work on the shop floor to understand workflows and gather data.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive approach — we’re a small business, so you’ll wear multiple hats and have a direct impact on how we operate and grow.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with barcoding systems or process automation is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with quoting or estimating processes in a custom manufacturing context is a bonus.
