The Role Our client is located in Montreal and is a large global steel manufacturing company looking for an Inside Sales Supervisor, managing a team of 9 employees from 2 facilities, including the one in British Columbia. The right candidate must be bilingual in both French and English and have the flexibility to travel to the US for sales meetings once or twice per year.

The position directly reports to the Area Sales Manager of Canada and is responsible for implementing new processes, tracking KPIs, and looking after the company's profitability.

This position is fully on-site, providing flexibility when needing to cover days from home, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Leads by example, ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed by staff, while actively participating in meetings and promoting teamwork, communication, and safety.
  • Proposes and helps implement process improvements and best practices across operations, including procedure development and adherence to current workflows (quoting, orders, claims, etc.).
  • Supports company goals by boosting profitability, monitoring KPIs, ensuring quality control, and resolving customer issues promptly.
  • Provides strong administrative support in areas such as order processing, sales quotes, and claims.
  • Builds solid product knowledge to support customer inquiries, team training, and development.
  • Analyzes sales reports and performance data to track productivity and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintains up-to-date pricing and ensures compliance with pricing policies.
  • Maintains open, ongoing communication with customers and sales teams regarding orders, pricing, delivery, and market trends.
  • Collaborates with internal departments (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Production, CAD) to strengthen relationships, drive customer satisfaction, and lead, coach, and develop the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4–5+ years in sales or manufacturing, with strong technical knowledge in steel, mining, industrial, recycling, or maintenance repair industries; includes supervisory or lead experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). CRM and ERP system exposure required.
  • Thrives under pressure, meets deadlines, and consistently delivers outstanding customer service.
  • Works independently with sound judgment, professionalism, and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong analytical, time management, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; creative and dependable.
  • Maintains professional, courteous relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bilingual (English/French, where required) and holds a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel to the US, and rarely to different provinces when needed.

Compensation & Perks
