About the role

Title: Maintenance Planner

CGC Inc. is a leading marketer, manufacturer and distributor of gypsum wallboard products, interior finishing material and suspended acoustical ceilings. With locations around the world, CGC and USG have the resources, plants, products, and people to build walls, ceilings, and careers.

CGC Inc. Is currently recruiting a Maintenance Planner for our Wheatland, Alberta plant. This is an on-site full-time position located at our brand-new wallboard plant located in Carseland, AB.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Ensure Maintenance Planner activities are compliant with the RPM program.

• Build and incorporate establishment of the RPM model activities into the Wheatland Plant

• Responsible for expediting work orders and requests, scheduling both routine and non-routine electrical and maintenance related projects.

• Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of information on new maintenance work orders, determining parts and material requirements, providing a written job plan, cost estimates to include labour and materials to complete work in the most efficient manner

• Communicates information in the Job Plan Package to the Maintenance Foreman, Supervisor, or other Maintenance Planners as applicable.

• Responsible for all information needed to support the planning process from beginning to completion. This includes ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and readily available to those involved.

• Train as needed to learn new operating systems.

• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager to support the Wheatland plant.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven ability to work safely.

• Working knowledge of electrical and general plant equipment, operations, and maintenance activities is an asset.

• Experienced in using a Windows-based computer system and standard software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), EAM, and barcode scanners for Oracle Inventory Management.

• Able to read and interpret prints and drawings as required.

• Able to self-start and complete tasks with little guidance or supervision.

• Effective communication skills with all levels of personnel, vendors, and contractors.

• Periodic travel may be required during the training period (US/CAN).

• Must be able to maintain positive relationships and seek to achieve conflict resolution for self and reports in a timely manner and with positive intent.

Additional Information:

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Pay - $43-$48.25/hr CAD

Operational Hours - Monday-Friday - 8-hour days
