Quality Assurance Technician (Night Shift)

Role:
Sunrise is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, detail-oriented individual, who is a strong team player and can work with minimal supervision and show sound judgment. This position is available in the Lethbridge plant 11:00pm – 7:30am (Monday – Friday) and weekends as scheduled.
Responsibilities:
- HACCP Monitoring – critical controls
- Monthly Audits / Inspections – GMP, Facility
- Product sampling and quality testing online
- Microbiological swabbing of equipment surfaces, plating
- Operational condition monitoring – temperatures, plant conditions
- Pre-operational inspections – visual / smell (Evis/Production)
- Equipment Calibrations / monitoring
- Data entry tasks
- Record verification tasks
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft programs.
- Be fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Be available for overtime if the processing schedule requires it.
- Be a fast learner.
- Be able to work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
- Have experience in QA / food processing.
- Have education related to food / quality.
- Are familiar with microbiological testing, laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Have post-secondary education.
