About the Role:

Fitzrovia is excited to welcome a dedicated Bartender to our vibrant bar team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the beverage experience at our in-house Café Bar, No. 10 Dean, at the Elm (www.elmlife.com) and Ledbury (www.ledburylife.com). No. 10 Dean offers a wide variety of drinks, including expertly crafted cocktails, international wines, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, all prepared with a commitment to premium quality and presentation to meet the discerning tastes of our residents and guests.

Reporting directly to the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the flawless execution of daily bar operations. Your duties will encompass cocktail creation, drink recipe adherence, maintaining high bar safety and cleanliness standards, and collaborating effectively with the team. This position is a tremendous opportunity for individuals who are passionate about mixology and eager to bring their ideas to life, grow within the industry, and contribute to Fitzrovia's renowned hospitality legacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently provide exceptional hospitality, actively seeking opportunities to exceed guest expectations
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision, paying attention to the appropriate glassware and garnishes
  • Participate in the development of new and unique cocktail recipes that reflect the establishment's theme, style, and customer preferences
  • Provide expert-level knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wines, beers and other bar ingredients, keeping up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mixology
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar area, adhering to health and safety regulations and ensuring proper handling and storage of all ingredients
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment, contributing to team efforts and supporting colleagues in achieving collective goals
  • Address customer inquiries and feedback, providing thoughtful and prompt resolutions to ensure a satisfying and memorable experience
  • Accurately manage cash handling and payment transactions, ensuring integrity and accountability in all financial interactions

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Knowledge of mixology, including cocktail preparation, bartending techniques, and bar safety
  • Previous experience in a bartending or beverage service role is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in managing a bar setup
  • Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a bar team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities in a bar setting
  • Positive and proactive attitude towards bartending tasks and challenges
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bar area
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
  • Smart Serve Certificate is required
  • Food Handlers' certificate is an asset
