What the job involves
- As a Senior DevOps Engineer II, you will be responsible for managing our SaaS infrastructure within Azure
- DevOps work with many different types of engineers and teams including Product Engineering, ML & Data Science and Integrations
- You will be implementing and supporting the infrastructure, services, networking, automation, and tooling to allow us to build, operate, and maintain our cloud estate in a modern, efficient, and secure way
- This person is a key member of a global, dynamic team supporting a growing engineering team
- Implement and optimize workflows, including Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), to streamline development and delivery processes
- Identify potential areas for improvements, work with leaders to articulate them and champion your ideas through to completion
- Support engineering operations, product delivery, and technical research initiatives
- Creating, operating and managing Kubernetes clusters and workloads running on them
- Design and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor) to ensure system health and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues, delivering under pressure when required
- Conduct root cause analysis and post-mortems for incidents, driving improvements to prevent recurrence
- Implement DevSecOps practices, integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist with technical customer queries and contribute to audit and compliance documentation
- Foster a team-oriented environment by mentoring peers, offering constructive code reviews, and sharing knowledge across the organization
- Communicate proactively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency around progress, risks, and opportunities
- Take ownership of deliverables, driving tasks to completion and proactively suggesting improvements to existing processes
