Role overview
We are seeking a well-rounded and results-driven Procurement Specialist with experience across both marketing procurement and indirect categories, including MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations). This hybrid role is ideal for someone who’s comfortable negotiating agency fees one day and securing operational supplies the next all while driving cost efficiency and supplier performance. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams in marketing, operations, facilities, and finance, helping the business stay agile, cost-effective, and compliant.
What you’ll be doing
Marketing Procurement:
- Manage sourcing for marketing-related spend media buying, PR, creative agencies, digital marketing, sponsorships, production, and brand research.
- Lead RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations with marketing service providers and agencies.
- Partner with Marketing teams to align supplier strategies with campaign needs and long-term brand vision.
- Track supplier performance through KPIs, SLAs, and periodic reviews; drive continuous improvement.
- Negotiate and maintain rate cards, MSAs, and SOWs, ensuring transparency and value for spend.
MRO & Indirect Procurement
- Source and manage contracts for MRO categories: equipment parts, tools, maintenance services, PPE, safety supplies, and facility-related spend.
- Ensure timely procurement and cost-effective supply of critical MRO items to support uninterrupted operations.
- Identify opportunities for vendor consolidation and long-term supplier agreements in the MRO space.
- Collaborate with plant teams, engineering, and maintenance to understand specifications and forecast needs.
- Maintain data accuracy in ERP systems for MRO spend tracking and reordering processes.
General Responsibilities
- Drive cost savings, improve supplier service levels, and reduce risk across assigned spend categories.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and legal/contractual frameworks.
- Work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and Operational teams to ensure alignment.
- Stay updated on category trends and innovation both in marketing services and operational sourcing.
- Support budgeting and spend visibility through reporting and analysis.
What we’re looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Supply Chain or related field
- 3–5 years of procurement experience with a strong mix of marketing procurement and MRO or indirect categories
- Demonstrated success managing agency/vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
- Familiarity with MRO procurement processes and supply chain support for plant/facility operations.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
- Proficient in ERP/procurement systems (e.g., Business Central, SAP, Ariba) and Excel.
- Comfortable collaborating across departments and balancing creative needs with commercial discipline.
- Strong, proven relationship management skills
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience in beverage alcohol industry is an asset
