About the facility: The Licensed Group Home is responsible for providing guidance, support and supervision for individuals with Cognitive, Mental and Physical Disabilities that require 24/7 care.

About the position: Working 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule, Personal Care Workers support and supervise individuals with physical abilities; use a team approach to plan, organize and supervise daily activities; prepare and serve meals as planned; administer prescribed medications;

Duties:

  • Support and supervise individuals with physical disabilities;

  • Use a team approach to plan, organize and supervise daily activities, recreational and other services;

  • Prepare and serve meals as planned;

  • Assess needs of residents on an on-going basis;

  • Maintain sanitation of Group Home;

  • 12- hour shift with rotating schedule;

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor;

Qualifications:

Suitable candidates will have a minimum Grade 12; Personal Care Worker, Continuing Care Aide or Home Health Aide Certificate or equivalent is preferred; Certified First Aide & CPR and Safe Food Handling Certificate required or willing to obtain; Previous home care or childcare experience is an preferred; Experience working with First Nations Communities is an asset; Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Combination of Education and Experience may be considered;

on the job training will be provided.
