Are you hands-on and passionate about quality homebuilding? We're seeking a dedicated Construction Technician to join our team and help ensure homes are built to the highest standards. In this role, you'll complete key construction repairs, prepare homes for inspections, and help drive Caivan’s commitment to quality and efficiency on every lot.

Key Responsibilities:
- Complete outstanding construction repairs during rough framing and pre-handover stages
- Perform deficiency repairs based on frame checklists and city inspection prep
- Conduct pre-handoff sweeps and ensure exterior lots are clean
- Install fire caulking and complete various rough-in and finish prep tasks
- Read décor sketches and understand HVAC, plumbing, and electrical completion requirements
- Perform carpentry tasks including wall straightening, squeak repairs, and general framing fixes
- Complete small concrete repairs (e.g., patching basement floors)
- Post signage and prepare homes for inspections and rough-to-finish handover
- Support and lead labourers on site when needed
- Install yellow boots, safety rails, and complete 1st, 2nd, and 3rd handy work
- Conduct quality cleanup in units before key project milestones
- Follow Caivan’s standardized work processes and quality control standards
- Perform other duties as required
You Will Bring:
- 1–3 years of experience in low-rise residential construction
- Strong carpentry skills and framing experience
- Proficiency with tools and construction site equipment
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, or computers to log deficiencies and tasks
- Solid communication and problem-solving abilities
- Basic arithmetic skills (e.g., measuring, leveling)
- Flexibility to work on different sites and adapt to changing priorities
- High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle
- Must have own hand tools and tool belt
