About the role

Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta, serving the educational needs of approximately 17,950 students in 42 schools. EIPS is recruiting a full-time French Immersion Division 1 Teacher at École Campbelltown.

École Campbelltown offers a French Immersion program serving approximately 370 students in kindergarten to Grade 6, with 18 teaching staff and seven support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB.

There is a history of strong co-operative collaboration between home and school at École Campbelltown. Learning requires teamwork—student, teacher and family. Staff will be “Striving for Excellence / Nous visions l’excellence ” in all they do.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education degree

  • Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

  • Effective organization and classroom management skills

  • Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

  • Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

  • Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals

  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
