Successful candidates will be assigned to supervise student teachers (interns) throughout the province. Sessional Supervisors will regularly observe and support the interns in their placements and will be on call to meet any additional needs of student teachers in the field. Students will be identified and assigned to you through the Field Experience office, in advance of the placement period. Supervisors will act as liaison persons for the Faculty of Education, offering resources, guidance, and support for the cooperating teacher and intern(s). Sessional Supervisors are expected to be available to visit and provide support/guidance as needed by the interns and/or cooperating teachers for the duration of the internship.
Remuneration for this position is based on the current rate of $694.52 per assigned intern student teacher congruent with the URFA Collective Agreement.
Position Requirements
Normally applicants will have a Master’s degree in Education and experience in the education system appropriate to the area of supervision applied for, knowledge and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, and knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs. Applicants should have proficiency with K-12 curriculum documents and be abreast with current pedagogical approaches in the K-12 system.
Must have access to personal vehicle.
Attendance of a hybrid field advisor orientation on the morning of August 26, 2025.
