About the role
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
This isn’t your typical CFO role. We’re looking for a senior finance leader who wants to do more than manage numbers — someone ready to build, guide, and shape a growing investment management business. You’ll lead finance, operations, and compliance with real influence on the company’s direction.
This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves leadership position for someone who knows the investment world and thrives in dynamic, purpose-driven environments.
What You’ll Own:
- Full control of financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Day-to-day finance operations — from payroll to audit to vendor relationships
- Streamlining systems and processes to make the whole business run smarter and faster
- Leadership of a small, capable team across finance, operations, and administration
- Partnership with senior leadership on capital structure, fundraising, and governance Oversight of investment operations and compliance alongside legal and regulatory teams
What You Must Bring:
- 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience
- Active CPA designation in good standing
- Strong grip on IFRS and ASPE reporting standards
- Proven ability to make processes leaner, smarter, and more effective
- Experience dealing with regulators, boards, and audit teams
- Comfort with modern finance tools, tech platforms, and cloud-based systems
- Experience in asset management, portfolio management, private equity, or similar industries — this is essential at this level
