PURPOSE:
This position will be directly responsible for planning, directing and managing all accounting/finance functions as well as supporting the General Manager. As a Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for overseeing a company’s accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Strategic Leadership: Ensure company activities with the overall strategy, challenge assumptions, and drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Operational Insights: Support strategy and cost analysis, access variances, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Management Collaboration: Present financial results to executive teams, discuss concerns, and propose solutions with practical insights.
- Capital Investment: Write Capital investment business cases, monitor capital project spend and savings.
- Financial Expertise: Manage accounting, financial reporting, and operational data analysis, including financial results, projections, and profitability evaluations.
- Product Costing Oversight: Review and improve costing models to determine standard costs, provide costings for new product innovation.
- Projections & Budgeting: Responsible for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Employee Development: Lead, develop and mentor staff through effective feedback and career progression planning.
REQUIREMENTS
- An undergraduate degree combined with the completion of a professional accounting qualification (CPA).
- Hands on, roll up the sleeves professional with a demonstrated track record of success in a manufacturing finance environment.
- Is proficient with computer applications including the MS Office suite of products.
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection.
- Cost accounting experience.
- Experience in handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Enjoy working in a dynamic, yet supportive team environment.
