We are currently looking to fill a permanent, full-time positionfor a Latin Cuisine Chef for our Kitchen Department at our Leamington, ON location.
The Latin Cuisine Chef is responsible for creating healthy, affordable lunch options that feature our products and showcase authentic flavors of Latin cuisine. This role focuses on preparing signature ethnic dishes inspired by traditional and modern Latin American cooking. The Latin Cuisine Chef brings creativity and cultural knowledge to help offer diverse and flavorful meals.
Job Specific Duties
- Plan weekly menu items, ensuring meals meet quality, taste, and nutritional standards.
- Prepare high-quality Latin meals that reflect traditional and modern Latin American cuisine, create new recipes that align with budget guidelines and ingredient availability
- Mentor and guide team members in the preparation, execution, and delivery of weekly meals, events, and special occasions
- Ensure daily Latin meals are prepared and ready for delivery simultaneously, maintaining quality and timeliness.
- Plan menus and create meals for company events, ranging from small vendor or guest lunches to large-scale holiday parties and summer picnics.
- Set up and stock kitchen stations with all necessary supplies before service.
- Monitor inventory levels, maintain accurate records of supplies and equipment, and order items as needed.
- Ensure the kitchen, work area, and all dishes are thoroughly cleaned at the end of each shift.
- Comply with all nutrition, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach when working with all employees.
- Complete food deliveries to all company locations as scheduled.
- Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of specialized Latin cooking experience; preferably restaurant, banquet hall, Church etc.
- Food safety/Food Handlers’ certificate is an asset.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Office).
- Valid driver’s license and clean drivers record is required.
- Ability to safely drive a company vehicle and willingness to complete food deliveries in all weather conditions.
- Good time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have good communication skills and ability to affectively lead, guide and direct a team.
- Must have a passion for healthy food and culinary arts.
Working Conditions
- Works in an industrial kitchen setting with hot and cool temperatures.
- Fast-paced environment.
- Performs deliveries, in all weather conditions.
- Hours are Monday-Saturday; and assists with weekend events as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in high and low temperatures.
- Ability to bend, stretch, reach, twist, etc.
- Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Salary
- $22.00/hour, Vacation Pay, Stat Holiday Pay, Overtime and Benefits provided.
