The Blueprint
Reporting the SVP, Corporate Planning and Taxation, the Corporate Clerk will support both corporate governance, trademarks and tax compliance by making filings and submissions as required, managing correspondence with external parties, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with corporate transactions as required.
A Glimpse into Your Daily Activities
- Legal & Regulatory Support: Preparing legal documents, managing filings, maintaining statutory records, and ensuring compliance with KYC/AML and corporate regulations.
- Corporate Governance: Supporting incorporations, dissolutions, and amendments; maintaining corporate organization charts and minute books.
- Tax Compliance: Filing tax returns, maintaining tax documentation, handling correspondence, and assisting with audits or inquiries.
- Trademark Administration: Managing trademark portfolios, renewals, defense efforts, and related legal agreements.
- Administrative Oversight: Performing general clerical duties, tracking deadlines, managing databases, and processing legal invoices.
- Transaction & Records Management: Documenting corporate transactions, maintaining contract records, and supporting reporting requirements.
The Architect of Your Success
- Post-secondary diploma in Business or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience or a strong interest in legal structure and filing requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) at an advanced level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new tasks quickly.
- Proactive and resourceful problem-solver.
