About the Role
As a Business Process Analyst in the Meter Reading Systems group, you’ll take ownership of process improvement, data workflow optimization, and performance reporting. Your role will focus on analyzing and refining how we collect, validate, and manage meter data across the province.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on process mapping, data-driven insights, and operational excellence.
What You Get to Do:
- Develop and optimize processes related to meter reading data capture, exception management, and system workflows
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards, performance reports, and audit-ready records
- Collaborate with field operations, internal teams, and external vendors
- Support the integration and enhancement of Smart Metering systems
- Facilitate process mapping sessions, maintain SOPs, and ensure documentation is current
- Participate in internal audits, system updates, and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Management, Information Technology, Education or equivalent combination of education and experience

2–5 years of experience in utility operations, customer service, process analysis, or billing support

Understanding of AUC regulations, Alberta’s deregulated energy market, and customer account processes (asset)
-
Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBI, Change Management, Root Cause, or Train-the-Trainer are considered assets

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, Power BI, iGrafx, telephony systems, and Customer Care & Billing platforms (asset)

Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
