A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and non-clinical program (service) areas that all work together to support healthcare providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users. Programs range from primary care to acute care, and include laboratories, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostics. Additional programs that also support patient care and information, include Virtual Care, MySaskHealthRecord, and the provincial Electronic Health Record. eHealth is also responsible for administering various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g., birth, marriage, death), legal name changes, and adoptions, as well as maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.
eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
About the role:
As a key member of the Primary Health Care Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting Saskatchewan’s Flu and COVID-19 immunization programs. Reporting to the Manager of Primary Health Care Services, your primary responsibility will be the accurate back-entry of vaccine data into the provincial immunization Public Health data repository.
The ideal candidate will be self-directed, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining confidentiality and data integrity. You’ll also contribute to broader business services such as documentation, training, incident support, and testing new application releases.
Typical Daily Duties:

Entering COVID-19 and Influenza vaccine data into the provincial systems.
-
Contacting clients and immunization providers (e.g., clinics, pharmacies) to verify and validate immunization records.
-
Investigating data discrepancies and resolving issues that arise during data entry.
-
Collaborating with the Public Health team at eHealth to troubleshoot and resolve data-related concerns.
-
Generating reports and statistics on data entry activities.
-
Participating in acceptance testing for new software releases related to immunization programs.
To Qualify for This Position, You Will Have Knowledge and/or Experience in the Following:
Education & Experience
-
A diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or a clinical discipline, ideally combined with training in information management or technology.
-
At least 6 months of experience in a similar role.

Familiarity with health system applications; CHIM designation is considered an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Attributes

Understanding of the Health Information Protection Act (HIPA).

Experience with data cleansing, query generation, and database structures

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Familiarity with medical terminology and data collection processes from source systems.

Strong active listening and communication skills, especially when engaging with frustrated or concerned individuals.
