About the role
Summary of Duties:
The Dietary Aide will be responsible for but not limited to:

Preparation and assembly of patient meal trays
-
Dishwashing of patient meal trays, pots & pans, food service wares & equipment
-
Supporting Food Services quality improvement initiatives
-
Communicating with Supervisor regarding discrepancies
Qualifications/Skills:
- One year of practical experience in food service environment – required
- Food Handlers Certification (Public Health) – required
- WHMIS training – required
- Demonstrate reliable work attendance record – required
- Service and detail oriented
- Able to stand, walk and bend without restrictions
- Able to lift floor to waist up to 20lbs
- Able to push/ pull food service equipment, smallwares up to 30lbs
- Able to read, write and speak English
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Requiring minimal supervision
- Follow established standards for food handling & preparation
- Maintain established sanitation and safety standards in the care and cleaning of food service dishes and equipment
- Follow all new and existing department policies and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a strong team environment
