JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Pre-owned Service Technician is responsible for performing repairs and routine service maintenance on customer vehicles. They will work closely with Service Advisors to ensure effective communication regarding required service maintenance and time of completion to customers. The Pre-Owned Service Technician must have vast experience in automotive servicing.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect vehicle and diagnose problem(s).
- Perform quality recall/general repair and maintenance work that meets dealership and manufacturer standards including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Provide labor and time estimates needed to repair/service
- Learn new information and techniques in training sessions
- Keep shop area neat/clean and account for tools
- Other duties may be assigned according to expertise and certifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed Journeyperson Certification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a dealership setting is preferred
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Knowledge in Ford vehicles is considered a strong asset
- Attention to detail
- Strong aptitude for technical/mechanical repairs, and effective diagnostic aptitude, with strong time management skills
- Valid Driver's License
