ACCOUNTING/MARKETING & ECONOMICS TEACHER
Full-time (1.0 FTE) Term position
Sentinel Secondary School
Effective September 2, 2025 until the return of the absent teacher
or June 30, 2026
*The annual salary for a full-time teaching position ranges from $59,*711 to $109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The salary will be prorated based on FTE.
Required Qualifications and Experience
A full-time (1.0 FTE) Accounting/Marketing/Economics position consisting of Accounting 11/12, Entrepreneurship and Marketing 10 and E-Commerce 12 is available at Sentinel Secondary School. This position replaces a teacher on leave. The successful candidate must have the following:
- Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Accounting, Marketing and Economics Education, as well as Information Technology.
- Hold a valid BC professional teaching certificate.
- Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology with the curriculum.
- Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Prescribed Learning Outcomes (PLOs) and Integrated Resource Packages (IRPs), as well as providing evidence of the use of criterion referenced assessment and Performance Standards.
- An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners.
- A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
